  • SUGGESTED MATERIAL LIST:

  • Canvases.   9×11, 11×14, 12×16 cotton primed canvas.  Your preference.  However my suggestion due to time availability in class  you can get:  Senso clear prime linen panels or Pro-toned all media toned canvas panels to have a ready surface.    This is not available in all countries.  You do not have to get an expensive surface for the exercises.

  • Brushes.  Any Good quality bristle brushes.  I suggest  FLAT  Robert Simmons Signet.  Sizes:  4, 6, 8, 10-

  • Palette knife

  • Paint.   Use the oil paint you are familiar with.  Here are the colors of my chromatic palette;

  • ALIZARIN CRIMSON

  • QUQNACRINONE MAGENTA

  • CADMIUM RED LIGHT

  • TRANSPARENT RED OXIDE

  • CADMIUM YELLOW DEEP

  • CADMIUM YELLOW LIGHT

  • PERMANENT GREEN LIGHT

  • Gamsol  (Gamblin) for cleaning brushes.

  • Gamblin solvent free gel

  • Value chart

  • Color wheel

  • Wood or grey palette.  I do not recommend white surfaces to mix paint

  • IMAGES FOR REFERENCES.

Images for two classes will be posted two times during the course.

  • I will be painting from life, but you can use the photos I suggest here for each class.  You can also use your own images if you are advanced enough to go with the rythim of the my explanation.  For mediium to advance students, you can also set up your own still life at home and apply the principles I am sharing.    For beginners, I suggest you go along with these images only and do a lot of observing of the process.   Please take note that you can download this images, print them or use them at your best convenience for the class.  A lo to artist prefer to use two devices, one for zooming the class and the other to use as a reference for your painting   You will notice each image has a first drawing already done by me.   I suggest you come to class with your drawing already done, so you can skip that step and go along with me and the rest of the class.
